Are we to July yet!

Well - no we aren't to July yet. But we are getting closer. I couldn't pass up on the special party in princess costumes. Koy was quite the charmer. Brent and Kelsi enjoyed the cake auction.
Brenden and Kaden had a great time together - and didn't always have a video game going. We felt bad when the chalk art all washed off.

And more excitment in June and July

Cyndi and Paisley made it up as well and enjoed getting to know her cousins in Idaho as well. Just fun when families gather. The weather was nice and it was a fun outing with everyone.

Still catching up!

Also in June we had a great trip to Idaho for Ashley's baptism. Christy made her a beautiful dress and the whole weekend was special. Ashley, thank you for sharing your special day. We enjoyed lunch at the park afterwards and then a Gymnastics recital with the Sanderson kids. Enjoyed all of the Anderson Families.

Trying to Catch UP!

Wow, where has all the time went since our last posting. It has flown by and we have done so much. We will see how this translates into the blog. As you might imagine the majority of what we have done has been family related and it sure has been an exciting and fun time. Early in May we had a great hike up to Angel's rest one afternoon. Enjoyed some subway sandwiches on top. This pic is for those who have forgot how nice it is in the NW - looking down on the Columbia River.

Jaci and the kids came up in June and we had a great overnighter at a beach house. The weather could have been just a little warmer but it was very nice and we had an adventure or two. Those Sanderson kids found out how cold the Pacific could be. They were soaked in the first 5 minutes then they learned to stay a little dryer. Found lots of sand dollars and enjoyed some great clam chowder at Duggers. Sure is fun when the kids come to play.

Family Fun in April

April has been a month of extremes. We enjoyed a couple of 80 degree days. So Connie and I did a little exploring close to home. 1st stop was the Woodland Tulip festival - lots of pretty flowers and I didn't have to plant them. We then just did some exploring and hiking around - the Old Grist meal was a fun stop and then up Canyon Creek on a picnic and a little hike.

Well after all that fun it was time to enjoy some good family fun. Cyndi made it to town with little Paisley and then things really got fun. Shortly after they got here then we enjoyed Noel, Shelby and Malachi for a great couple of days. It was so nice to see then and have Paisley and Malachi here at the same time. Cute kids and you could tell that they were cousins.

When the weekend came we enjoyed the arrival of Snow and Chad, Heather and Beckett - so of course more fun to be enjoyed with the another cousin. Beckett was a champ at entertaining Paisley. It was also nice to see her enjoy a little time with cousin Breeana as well. She thought it was fun being the big sister.

Just a lot of fun with great looking Grand Kids and great Kids! Thanks for being a part of our lives - all of you!!! Made for a wonderful Spring. We look forward to the rest of the seasons of the year and catching up with all of you again!
Let Grandma know if you need 1 of these.

We also enjoyed some gymnastic fun with Brooke.
Too much talent...

Idaho Weekend

A great weekend was enjoyed by all of us that were able to get together. Connie, Kara, Breeana and I flew into Boise and caught up with the old Park Avenue and made the run to Burley were we caught up with Monte, JoAnn, Anali, Aden and Avalon as well as Grandma Rucker and Aunt Karen. A nice evening with dinner at Grandma's and chance to visit and have some fun. After breakfast at Karen's the next day we were off to Blackfoot for more food and fun at Christy's. Idaho Falls and dinner with the grownups(?) at a good Mexican joint. Saturday it was the big party with lots of food at Jaci's -- with lots of snow and fun for all. Easter egg hunt, games, coloring contests and lots of great food - we rolled all the holidays - Easter, St Patty's Day and 1st day of Spring (didn't feel like spring in Rexburg) into 1 big party. Thank you all for a great time! It is too much fun when we get together - makes it hard to go back to regular routines.

Fun Time in the Northwest

We had a surprise visitor to the Northwest - David came in for a boatshow so we drove up to Seattle to enjoy a little evening dinner with him at Salty's -- over priced and not as good as home cooking but the company was great. We always enjoy these BONUS visits when they come up.

We introduced the next generations of Anderson's to some great food over the weekend - Viet/Chinese and Baskin Robbins. Beckett and Malachi enjoyed the variety and the new flavors. It was an enjoyable time and we all had more than our share - as usual. It was fun to be with the new boys and their folks. We particularly enjoyed the new BR sign - and even though we probably haven't eaten our share of Broccoli (other than Heather) we still though we deserved some good ice cream. It is nice getting together with best friends and even better when they are in the family. We are looking forward to all of the "I" (Idaho and Iowa) family members next weekend. Ok JoAnn put all this into a nice scrapbook format for us! Love to ALL!

The one that didn't get away

We had a great end to the Thanksgiving weekend at the BYU - Utah game. A great fall day and the mighty Cougars pulled it out at the end after leading for most of the game. Another great finish with the right team on top. That is 2 years in a row so we are making plans for 2008 -- who's in.

Buff Boys

Now here are a couple of family members that could have spent just a couple more minutes at the dinner table. They would have eaten in the pool if we would have let them. Thank you to Dave and Jess for a great destination for Thanksgiving. It was a real hit and everyone gave it rave reviews.

Windows of Heaven

This is a shot of the grand kids at City of Rocks - actually sitting in the formation called the Windows of Heaven. The amazing thing is that we didn't loose any of them. Great memories with the new generation of rock hounds. Is this on everyone's schedule for 2008!

Fun in Leavenworth

Connie and I felt pretty fortunate to make it to Leavenworth the end of December - in a blizzard. I wanted to take a shortcut but Connie wouldn't let me - so we made it safely there. Enjoyed a great couple of days snooping around and enjoying what Andersons everywhere enjoy - great food and new things! It is a little out of the way to get there but a great place to visit it seems in all the seasons of the year. For some of you that get lots of snow maybe not the same appeal as there was for us. Christmas lights at there best, friendly people and a fun atmosphere.

What do I do now?

Well Monte and JoAnn said this was easy - we shall see. Just don't expect as great a blog as those Iowa kids.

But here is a picture of Christmas fun in the Northwest.
We will provide more to this soon - but it is bedtime.
